Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) - Fall 2022

Published

Hey y’all!! I’m taking prerequisites and I’m hoping to apply by May 2022 Lord willing. I noticed that the previous program started a post and figured why not get one started for the next class. I’ll update this post when I apply and if/when I get accepted.

Well brb while I go cry ? I only have 60 when I put my numbers in ? assuming I got a 20 in the interview which I’m confident I did the math is what killed me and missing 4 on the Writting was okay also uggg my anxiety can’t do this ???

This is all too stressful!! I’m just gunna try not to worry and wait to see what happens!

Don’t even worry about it love!! From the Spring admit ppl got in as low as 55! Especially for you trying for the LPN articulation. I think you’ll be fine! I know the Spring is a little less competitive than the fall but I would keep holding faith! You have no idea where you fall in comparison to everyone else! I would also maybe ask (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) if she has your interview score and if she’d be willing to give it to you so you can know for sure! ☺️
I think you got this!

Not worrying is the best thing you can do even tho it’s so much easier said than done! At least phase 2 ends on Thursday! So only a couple more weeks until we know for sure! I’m rooting for everyone here! We all deserve a spot this cycle ?

Yes praying is all I will be doing until that week. The lpns look like they always are very high in all scores so I won’t even look at that LOL. Good luck everyone wishing first pick to all.

Yes! Honestly just keep having faith and speaking it into existence that you’ve got a spot selected for you!! I just finished my interview today! For those of you who haven’t done it yet, it is SUPER easy and laid back. The professors were really nice and funny. Only tip I have is to really think about your answers, especially if you’re not the first one to go try to take what other ppl say and enhance on it in your own way! You all got this, and I wish everyone the best of luck! ❤️

Hey! Yes, I was! That’s so cool. Your answers were all amazing and I wanted to commend you for coming through on the other side with all the issues that were happening to you. You seem like a really strong person. ☺️

Hey guys!

I got a 17/20 on the math and an 18/20 on the writing. I noticed the gentlemen next to me scored a 17/20 on the math also & a girl to the other side of me didn't do so well on the math. I didn't see her score but at least half her screen as she scrolled was red on each problem so looked like she maybe got about half of the answers correct on the math. Best of luck to everyone who still has to interview or test this week. Keep us posted! ?

Hey Jessica, awesome job on your tests! You should be super proud of your scores. It seems like the math test was definitely difficult for some ppl along with the timing being pretty short. I think it’s going to be pretty close this semester! Luckily, this next cut is super small compared to the last one. A cut from 300+ ppl to only about 60+ is not bad at all! I believe in everyone.

Good luck to everyone else finishing their phase 2 process! ?

13-17 more days until we find out if we’ve made it!

Thanks @karliwithak_. You did great too! Yes! We all made it through the big initial cut so hopefully we all hold on through the last cut of 62ish, even if we don't get our 1st choice. Also, I am curious to know if anyone backed out when they got their congrats email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). I heard this definitely happens as some students apply to multiple programs (rad tech, respiratory, cardiovascular programs cause they are undecided or they are hoping to get in any of them. I met one girl at FSW who had gotten into 3 programs previously and had to decide. Another girl I know got into the first round of Spring 22 cohort and backed out before her interview and test because she changed her mind. Wish we knew!

I’m interested too! I heard it happens quite a bit but I’m curious if those spots just get removed or if they get filled from ppl who didn’t make the cut, like those that were just shy of the first cut.
Getting into 3 programs is so awesome!! Congrats to her! I also know that once accepted there are some who end up dropping during add/drop week as well. So it’ll be interesting to see the admit profile for this cohort when it comes out!

I did get into the respiratory program invited to phase 2 interview and drug screen. The test I took for them was not hard like the math for me but I’m not going to the second part as nursing is what I want. Just heard it was hard and wanted to try. The class is 30 only the acceptance email didn’t say like nursing how many got to the next part but I did have to send my resume to show healthcare experience and my nursing license number.
