Members are discussing updates on the waitlist movement for a specific program, sharing experiences of getting off the waitlist or being accepted, and asking for advice on the interview process without disclosing specific information due to signing a waiver. Some members are providing general tips for the interview process, such as studying specialty topics, CCRN material, and ACLS protocol.
Here's a thread for those of us applying to FIU's CRNA program for Spring of 2025. Good luck to everyone!

That was not applicable for my cohort. That's something new that they implemented for specific reasons per faculty.

Your first semester is online. You go in person to classes starting in Summer. For us it's only 1 day a week for now. Could be different for your cohort. Regardless of that, you'll be studying 50-80 hours a week, even in the first semester.
@Jenna97 Thank you for your honesty! Helps to hear about the first semester! Congratulations on your acceptance and finishing up your first semester! I'm staying positive and hope to receive an invite! Please keep in touch about your journey! You're doing great and I'm sending positive vibes your way!😊
Additionally, comparing statistics is a waste of time. Everyone's journey is different. I got accepted into school over people who took Biochem/Orgo Chem, had rapid response experience, charge nurse experience, etc. I'm not faulting or disregarding if you have that, point is your application is viewed as a WHOLE. FIU utilizes a point system. They'll briefly tell you in interviews what is included in that point system. Last year interviews were 15 minutes, (10 min for questions and 5 min to ask them questions). Interviews last year were emotional intelligence based with 1 clinical question. Good luck, yall. 🙌🏾
@FIUSRNA26 Congratulations on your acceptance! Thank you for your transparency and helpful insight about FIU's selection process. Love this about FIU! Please keep in touch about your journey too! Sending positive vibes and wishing you much success through the program😊
