Ways to Improve/Strengthen your Application:
Obtain CCRN
And I do have my CCRN... So I don't know at this point.
Good luck to everyone!
I got the same email, and I have everything thats an automatic email for everyone that did not get an interview, they have too many people this year, is gonna be hard to get into fiu now without the gre as a requirement. everyone wants fiu because is cheap.

I have everything too and did not get an interview and submitted early. my GPA is 3.5 science , ccrn, 4 years ICU, charge preceptor, researches, community hours.

I think some schools may have programs/classes where they group similar aged people together for the year. A lot of times schools look at the overall picture and not just GPA, GRE, etc...
I don't know, its just a theory. I have a friend that went through CRNA school and said she had a guy in her class that had super low qualifications and a super low GRE yet he still got in. It really is a crapshoot sometimes on who gets an interview and accepted
Honestly, I don't even think there's a true method to the madness. I feel as if due to getting rid of the GRE they have to compensate for their admissions/interview requirement. With no GRE, it's fair game. One interviewer can value shadowing over research, while another one can value taking biochemistry over years of experience and leadership, so it would be really biased and they already work utilizing a point system. So I think the easiest way for them to weed people out with no GRE requirement is to pick the highest nursing/science GPA's, kinda sort of how University of Miami did. Because I personally didn't take biochemistry and I got an interview. But what do I know? LOL
p.s. to confirm or deny your theory, I'm only 26 although my name has 1962 in it LOL

agree, I'm 30. nursing is my second degree. I have 3.9 GPA. Got invite from Uof Miami and FIU. I think it is pretty much all about the number since FIU interview is super short. 15 mins is a super short interview and U can't talk/sell yourself much during that 15 mins..
