Hello Everyone!
I am going to be graduating with my ADN in May and am planning to relocate back to Central Florida from Southeast Missouri (I moved here in 2007 with family and I'm very much looking forward to this move!). I applied for the July/August 2015 Graduate Nurse Program and selected my preferential locations as Orlando and Altamonte in PCU, Med/Surg Tele, and ED. I am hoping to move as soon as possible after graduation, dependent on getting a job. I am a single mother to a one year old and cannot go if we don't have a stable situation yet.
I guess what I'm wondering is:
What are my chances?
What advice do you have for me?
Did anyone have a similar situation and get hired on?
My application was submitted yesterday evening and this morning it said "Under Initial Review". I am 22 and have had 4+ years experience in Nursing as a CNA, the last year being spent with a Community Health Systems Hospital. I mentioned that I would immediately be pursuing my BSN this summer and also that my mom worked there as an RN before we moved and how she had many good things to say about FH.
Thanks in advance! I am banking on getting this opportunity and am not sure where I will go work wise if I don't get a position with FH. Haven't heard many good things with Orlando Health?

When did you apply? Mine says the same thing but so far nothing...I'm praying I'll hear either way soon! Good luck to you too 😊

I think as long as it as it doesn't say no longer being considered then you are ok. I haven't heard anything else since the pre interview. Hope we both get job offers.
Me too! I sent you a PM :)
Sorry I can't message you back , not enough post. I received questioniare about a week after applying. Then got the call about two days later. Did u upload ur resume and transcript. So far nothing else just constantly checking.
That's okay! Thanks for the response. I uploaded my resume and wasn't sure exactly how to upload the unofficial transcripts so I just took screenshots and sent them that way. Hope that's good enough!
Hope so. If you hear anything back please let me know and Ill do the same.
Sounds good! Fingers crossed for us! :)

Do they require you to sign a contract? If so, how long?

All new grads sign a two year contract with no bonus.... Your chance is 50/50 as there turnover rate is pretty high. ER at Alt is more stable.... Stay in contact with HR so as they even know your voice.... And if your in the area do your research drop by and meet the nurse recruiter managers. Your chances go up by 99% then... Good luck😊
