First thing that came to mind. Don't know about this but ... could you put a dog flea collar in your pocket? I might want to do some research first. Just thinking.

Just guesses here.. Does insect repellent work? Avon Skin So Soft?

I appreciate it, thanks for taking the to to respond, it's worth trying.

Don't have pets - but don't they make flea repellant SPRAY? You could spray the exterior of your clothes? But, like I said, I'd check out anything about human skin contact. (Altho it comes in contact with animal skin ...? But then they are furry.))

Can you please elaborate on why you are working in a house with fleas? Do you work for a company? Or for yourself?

Is there a person residing in that house who requires nursing care?

We will be able to give you a more comprehensive POV with a lot more information about your situation.

As an LNA I was sent to an apartment building that was infested with bed bugs. You could literally see them crawling on everything.

I had been told to wear white scrubs and shoes that day. I was instructed to roll up my pant legs and spray my legs/shoes with a diluted alcohol solution when I entered and again when I left.

It kept them off me but I still stripped and changed before I got in my car. Scrubs and shoes went directly in the trash on the sidewalk. I refused to go back.

You may end up with fleas at home if you continue to work there. They will hitch a ride on you and the eggs can stick to your shoes. Personally I'd refuse the assignment. At the very least, bag your shoes and clothes before you get in your car and run them through a hot wash cycle at the laundry mat. Fleas are a pain to get rid of. :/
