FIU Nursing 2015

Hey guys! So I'm super nervous about applying to FIU because I don't think my GPA is all that great. :/ I didn't do well my first semester there so that brought my GPA doooown. Currently I have a 3.6 overall and a 3.5 science (which is really bad...I finished all of my science classes last semester). Hopefully by the end of this spring semester my overall will be at a 3.7. I do not have volunteer hours but I have been shadowing at a hospital (which I prefer because I had a bad experience volunteering lol). I'm taking the TEAS at the end of this month and I'm studying super hard for it right now >__<. if you guys have any good study tips on how to do well the teas that would be greatly appreciated too for those already in program or graduated from what think my chances are advice is great thank so much>

Hey everyone! I heard FIU is very competitive. I believe they only accept 100 applicants yearly which is such a low number. I think they'll let us know who got accepted after spring semester grades are up. I'm already super anxious to know.

Hey did you guys mail or hand deliver your applications?

And it says the deadline is March 15 which is this sunday. I want to bring mine in this week but I just realized it is FIU's spring break this week and every time I call no one is answering! So I'm kind of freaking out.

Hey, I'm hand delivering mine this week. The office should be open because I spoke to my advisor before spring break and she said it would be open.

Gosh... I turned in my application to Nova in Feb and I still haven't heard a response from them :/// like ughhh

Check your VIP page because that's how I found out about their decision.

To those applying to fiu... Are you filling out the application by hand or with computer?

I've been trying to use my computer to do it but some parts of the application don't work too well -.-

I filled it out with the computer but some stuff I had to fill in with writing. I don't think it will matter. I turned mine in today! She said they won't be letting us know until the end of May or first two weeks of June :( I don't think I can wait that long!!

Yeah, I get what you mean. I used the computer for some and handwritten the rest. Well, I hope it's the ending of May, the earlier the better.

I applied to Fsu but didn't get in. And I applied to fau but haven't heard from them either and I know interviews were today.. So FIU is my last option lol.

It sucks that we are going to find out so late because if I don't get in I don't know what I'll do. I'm going to be done with all the pre reqs this semester and all my gen Ed classes are done. So I think I need a backup plan in case I don't get in.
