FIU Nursing 2015

Hi, I am also applying for fall. I already took the teas but I didn't do all well as I wanted so I am retaking it.

The hardest part was the science.. make sure to study what the manual covers but don't just memorize what the book says.. have basic understanding of everything in the book. The test has a lot more chemistry than it was covered in the book.. like balancing equations and questions about moles.

The grammar section wasn't too bad. The reading was okay.. just know main idea, meaning of words in context, arranging sentences in order, oh and know all about informational sources comprehension.

The math was basic so just be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide a lot of fraction. A lot on percentages. Not too bad.

I recently took the TEAS too and got a 72.5% overall with a 77% in science. :/ I'm retaking it because I bombed the reading part so hard and could have done better in the math and english sections. Hopefully the second time I take it I'll do better lol! Good luck to you!

Hey, I am also applying to the BSN 2015

Hey, I am also applying to the BSN 2015 program. I did not do so well on the TEAS test either! I passed with FIU's requirement but I know it is not a competitive score. I am just not a good standardized test taker!! Hopefully my GPA will make up for it though. Have you guys done the video yet? And how are your GPA's?

Hey, I haven't done the video yet.. I keep procrastinating because I just hate videos -.- but I have to get it done asap. My GPA is 3.81 overall and 4.0 science. Hopefully that and my retake of the teas will be enough to get accepted

What school are you applying to?

Yeah I haven't started it yet either...

And thats good! My GPA is 3.9 overall and 4.0 science. But now I'm feeling like I should also retake the TEAS test but I really don't want to.. I don't really have time to study for it between Anatomy II and Mircobiology and a math class. And I dont have any volunteer hours so that doesn't help me. Are you applying anywhere else?

What did you get? If you don't mind saying of course. And you're GPA is awesome.. Hopefully mine will go up by the end of this semester. I am also applying to nova.

I would say to retake it cuz since now you have a better idea of hke the test is then you might do better

Yeah that's true. But do they look at the best score or the latest one?

I'm also applying to FAU and FSU but they take such few people so I don't really feel confident about it.

I think they take the best score of the 2 attempts.

I got a 71 overall and most school accept very little applicants :/
