Nursing Students School Programs
Published Dec 9, 2021
Hey everyone!
I saw that there hasn't been a forum made yet for the Generic fall 2022 nursing program for FIU and decided to create one! I am in the middle of the application process and I am still studying for my TEAS. Any tips?

Congrats!! I am taking mine this Friday. How was your Science and Math section? Did you have a lot of Chemistry? and did you have geometry questions?

I scores a 90% on science and 93% on math tho I feel I may have gotten a bit lucky on science. Math was more basic than the practice tests I took on the same site. Science I had a lot of anatomy and scientific experiment questions, not so much Chemistry and when I did get Chemistry it was pretty basic (maybe 2-3 questions). Geometry from what I remember I had only like 1 or 2 questions based on Circles.

Did you get a lot of skeletal muscle contraction / balancing equations / isotopes questions?

Like 1 balancing equation and 1 muscle contraction but no isotopes tho it doesn't hurt to learn just in case.

Hey Eduardo,
Did you use anything else besides the Mometrix book or Nursehub? Any Youtube videos you recommend?

I personally did not use anything else but I have heard people using Science with Susanna.
I just took my TEAS and got 84%. It might not be an exceptional grade but I am very happy with my result! GPA: 3.91

Hey I need some advice. I want to apply next year for the nursing program but I fear that my stats are too low. I have a 3.8 overall GPA, and AA degree with the highest honors, scored a 76 on the TEAS and my science portion was 89.4. Should I even consider applying?

I think they send out the acceptance emails during mid-May, that’s what they had said after I submitted my NursingCAS application for FIU
Also guys I’m super nervous, I feel like everything I have is good except for my TEAS score, can someone please give me some input? I only rlly applied to FIU for a BSN degree because I know that other schools are crazy expensive. Please let me know what you think, and be honest!
TEAS: 82% Science: 80% Math: 93.1% Reading: 75.6% Writing: 74.5 (I think)
GPA: 4.00
Science GPA: 4.00
Volunteer Hours: 300 hrs
(I did these hours at a pediatric office)
