FIU FNP Fall 2017

Hello! So I had decided to create a blog for those interested in the FIU's program for the upcoming fall. It's a bit early since applications are accepted in December. I signed up for nursingcas and tried looking for their program but for some reason it is not listed yet. Not sure if it's because it's too soon but I see other schools listed and it also starts the same time. I graduated last December and currently working full time and I just have an urge to go back to school now. Hope to hear from you guys soon! :)

anyone else get the email they just sent about apps still being under review they said emails should be sent out next week

Yes, I received the same email. I was interviewed over 3 weeks ago. Nancy said decisions will be made by the end of next week but from what I'm reading some decisions have already been made. Is anyone from the FNP program, have you been accepted? Has anyone heard anything new?

Do you know anyone that taken the GRE? I'm nervous about taking it by the end of next month. I feel so unprepared because it's so soon.

same here... from what amother poster wrote she and a few others got acceptance phone calls and had the choice to choose the MSN solo or MSN DNP.... I don't know what that means for the rest of us .

I myself have taken the GRE since I applied for the combined route. I really think it's just a checklist and that since there is no minimum score they just want them to take it. I'm not having high hopes about this since it looks like they're filling up the dnp route with people that applied for only the masters.

I haven't gotten anything as of yet, I think they said near the end of this week

Nothing yet, I was told by the end of this week. This has been the longest wait ever. I just hope it's worth the wait and pray that we all get into the program❤️
