FIU Fall 2016 Generic BSN

Published

Hey guys! Is anyone here applying for the Generic BSN program for Fall 2016? I couldn't find any topics for it.

I'm in the process of applying right now and I just took the TEAS V today! I'm content with my score, but I may retake it. I hope that with my TEAS V score, my GPA, and my extracurricular activities combined that have a good chance of getting accepted into the program!

My stats are:

Science GPA: 4.0

GPA: 3.96

TEAS V Cumulative score: 79.3% :(

Reading portion: 83.3% unfortunately I ran out time on this one and had to blindly guess on two questions!

Math portion: 66.7% such a bad score for me! I had to guess on like 5 questions because I wasn't keeping track of time!

Science: 81.3% I'm so relieved with this score. I was so scared that I wouldn't pass the 62% mark. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!

English and Grammar: 83.3 % It was an okay section, a couple of tricky questions. I had like 3 questions on how a word is spelled correctly and those get confusing when two of them look like the right answer!

I would love to hear from anyone else who is also applying for the Fall 2016!

According to Mr. Bruce Yap who is the clinical specialist coordinator we must purchase the following packages

1.criminal background check ($59.00)

2.FL VECHS FBI FINGERPRINT SEARCH ($55.50 for FL residents and $57.50 for non FL residents)

3.7 year employment verification ($30.00 *only purchase this if you have been employed in the past 7 years)

4.10 panel paperless drug screen ($37.00)

5. BSN Generic Package ($30.00)

The prices vary depending on your information.

Hope this help guys!!!

@TaneshaYStBrice Thank you!

Do you mind putting your stats? :/ BUT CONGRats!!!!! :)

You're welcome!! @13thExpansion Congratulations!!!! @ivylee2007

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations!

Yay! Congrats @ivylee2007!! The wait is finally over lol!

For students in Miami: where are you guys getting your CPR certifications from? The cheapest I have found is like $50, and I emailed FIU HOSA but they haven't emailed me back about any CPR class :/

I'm on the same boat. Lol where did you find the one for $50? The one I found was $89 and I need the book which is $20.

I found it on a website called Thumbtack.com, people will give you different quotes for their CPR class. I think $50 might be the cheapest that we'll find lol

Ladies/Gentlemen, I will contact the President now about the CPR class (We are good friends). I will let you know what she responds.

Thank you for everyone who has been listening to my rants about waiting! I decided to drop my summer class and thank god I did! I got my acceptance right after the last drop date happened. Saved a lot of money!

Also, @DPauly:

My overall: 3.4 GPA (I used to have a 3.6 but this semester was hell...)

Extracurricular: two leadership positions in HOSA and SOEC, sorority, Honors College, Living and Wellness II, worked at breezeway lol, and volunteered at Baptist Hospital for a short time (60 hours)
