Muscle aches, extreme tiredness, throbbing feet, no social life, just exhausted or is it just me? Had a blood work up done in June, everything is normal, but good grief! I became an LPN since June, 2006, and working in a clinic. It is easier than the floors, but I am still beat to the bone. :o

I am sooo glad to know I am not the only one feeling this way!! I am tired all the time I work nights and can come home and sleep all day and all night if I could. I am not depressed I just dont feel like I have any energy. My house looks like crap, I am taking two classes at the college this semester and I will be lucky to pull a C in them both. I was always an A-B student I just dont care anymore sleep is more importnant!

Wow! It's not just the students that feel like zombies. I definately wear my support (knee highs) everyday! They definately help! I take my multivitamin daily and drink tons of coffee (my lifesaver, right now). I feel so bad for my husband because my stress leads me to tearing off his head and crying weekly. (He is so supportive and just doesn't understand) I find that hanging out with and venting with my fellow nursing students and nurses helps out a lot. They understand what you are talking about! It helps to just get away. Time to myself is very precious too! When I have even an hour to walk the dogs alone, it helps! It's tough, but I guess you just have to remember that you need to make it a priority to do something for yourself weekly!

I'm going to buy some support hose. I have only had 9 hour days a a student, but I've noticed that achy sore feeling a lot too when I get home. I have a bad cold and have been attributing the increase in symptoms to that, but I have muscle soreness because of my thyroid issues anyway. Danskos are also on sale so I might see about getting a new pair of shoes and see if that helps.

Took a week off of work, had a thorough cleaning of my house by professionals, obtained a prescription for Zoloft to decrease the anxiety and will do exercise. Thanks for the contributions, everyone!

yes nursing can be exhuasting at times. just remember to take care of yourself everday. On work days remember to take your breaks, make sure you stay hydrated, limit overtime and do not feel quilty about it. What really helps me is a little fizzy packet that is vitamin C and B's called Emergence. You mix it water and drink it down i take 2 during a 10 hour shift. You can find them at health food stores and Trader joes also has them. You may need a vacation also.

I have sore feet, aching back, and I am not liking most humans so much anymore.
