No real advice, except to tell you to recall the content on the other exams and quizzes and refresh them in your mind. Reread the stuff you're having some trouble with. Remember the nursing process and the ABC's or prioritizing.

I'm in the same boat you are; my final exam is Monday afternoon.

Good luck to both of us!

thank you so much

I wish you good luck too!

thank you!

Usually there is a heavier emphasis on the more recent material. And in these culmulative exams, the older stuff doesn't focus so much on details but more on main concepts. I've noticed this over three semesters now with various instructors and their finals.

Also if possible, meet with your instructor(s) ...whoever has copies of your other tests, and ask if you can do a review. This IMO is something that you should be doing anyhow after every test to see where you fell short. Anyhow, this will give you a good idea of the testing style of the professor and where your weak areas are...and therefore where you need to focus.

Oh yeah...and good luck!

you should have been taking some time once a week to review everything from previous weeks to keep it fresh in your mind. what you learned 10 weeks ago is now going to be a long ago memory.

after your finals and during the vacation, review and read the information in the weblinks posted on this sticky thread on how to study. learning to be a good studier is a skill that often takes years to master. as you get better at it your grades improve.

Good luck!

Read the summary at the end of each chapter and study the things you had difficulty with in the past. I usually go back over each chapter and read all the things I highlighted. Good luck.

When you have note cards coming out of your ears, then you know you're doing it right.

Me too, got a final on Thursday. As much as I am looking forward to the end of this first semester...I am not looking forward to this final exam. I am consumed in my studies, socially isolated, have to remind myself to take a break from studying to bathe, eat and void-LOL. I have blisters on my hands from writing flash cards & notes and have been in pajamas for I don't know how long now. It's been a rough little while in the end here.

Our final is 75% last chapters that we weren't tested on yet and 25% cumulative. I am focusing heavily on the last chapters since they are weighed so much, more so than I have ever focused on chapters before. I figure if it's 75% of the new stuff...that's a lot of questions out of 100, considering our previous tests were ever only out of 40.

When I am quite confident in these chapters, I will re-read the highlighted stuff from the chapters earlier and then go over the flash cards I made for them.

Also, my kids are boarding at my mom's and hubby has been watching sports at the casino--I've kicked them out, he's probably spending our life-savings on sports betting--oh well, if I make it through this I figure I can earn some of it back LOL.

Good luck to all of you who have that dreaded final exam coming up--and then we can come back here and celebrate....the end is just around the corner, giving up is not an option right now, stay focused and we will tag those little initials after our names in no time.

thank you so much

You are right

I wont give up now

The final exam is tomorrow so I wont sleep tonite

I will study until my body drops and my nociceptors send the pain to my thalamus. (LOL)

but yeah we all in the same boat

But I kno we all gonna do great

I believe in that

They say that if you believe in your heart then you will conceive it.

thanks

Good luck

i know ur children plus hubby are proud of you!

Good luck

We all nurses of the future!!!
