Well I'm back to school and already have my back pack packed up. Is this insane --I am so excited to get the wheels turning again. I feel like maybe I learned how to really focus last semester and I feel like I am really going to apply myself. My only problem is that I start my CNA classes this sem too and I had to pay so much money for the uniforms, the name tag, TB test, CPR classes that I had to postpone my book purchases. Hopefully I'll be okay for the next few days without a couple text books. I have never started without text books but I always notice that half the class never has one the first week, so I'm not stressing out about too much.
Anyhow....good luck to everyone going back!
MBA2BRN--how was your first day of Nursing School ???? I can't believe the semester already started!!!
It was great. However, I only had lecture so far. I have my first lab and clinical over the next few days. My instructors seem to be very supportive. Hopefully this will not change over time.
I was listening for closings for my daughters school, and they just announced that the college is canceling classes. :angryfire That was NOT supposed to happen. I was so looking forward to Med. Terminology. Oh, well, I guess I can read up on Micro.Yes, our lab will be somewhat boring.
I just heard about San Antonio on CNN!! I agree it is not suppose to happen. Maybe it is Global Warming??
Oops...my apologies. Let me use a more politically correct term offered by the GOP; "climate change". This way we can blame it on the magic rather then man made pollution.

This is what I learned in my Geology class....we are STILL coming out of the last Ice Age. It's hard to tell what is to blame...the excessive burning of fossil fuels or natural causes. Mother nature has always been and will always be verrrrry powerful

YES! and those icicles are still hanging from my neighbors shingles....I can't believe it, they didn't even melt. But it was warmer today, although the sun is always hot, it's the air that gets cold around here. The pool has frozen over also....not hard enough to go ice skating yet....or is it??? LOL j/k I wouldn't try...maybe pretend ice fishing.
Ok, finally after the arctic blast left our city, I met my two new professors....
Don't know what to think right now
I am already chewing on the first chapter of Ethics which he handed out to us. We will have to write essays and will have multiple choice questions for tests (he has his own notes, we won't have to buy a book at all)
It will take some getting used to not to be in a science class, that's for sure.
Then there is my Lifespan prof...totally casual, I thought he was one of the students when he approached me in the hall, greeting me in German...how in the :angryfire did he know that I spoke German...of course I replied to him in German ?!?!?!?!?! Very interesting character...he gets his clothes at Old Navy (wears the shirt to prove it :rotfl: ) We have to do a presentation in his class and I already chose my topic....it will be an adventure. He won't tolerate students sleeping he actually called someone on it today.
It will be an adventure this semester, wish me luck!
