Well I'm back to school and already have my back pack packed up. Is this insane --I am so excited to get the wheels turning again. I feel like maybe I learned how to really focus last semester and I feel like I am really going to apply myself. My only problem is that I start my CNA classes this sem too and I had to pay so much money for the uniforms, the name tag, TB test, CPR classes that I had to postpone my book purchases. Hopefully I'll be okay for the next few days without a couple text books. I have never started without text books but I always notice that half the class never has one the first week, so I'm not stressing out about too much.
Anyhow....good luck to everyone going back!

It's my first day back too. My dh was laughing at me yesterday because I already had my backpack all packed and ready to go. It's not that I am excited about going back for another round, it's just the fresh start and the next step toward the ultimate goal. I know in a few weeks I'll be looking forward to the next break, but for now I'm glad to get going again. I hope you have a great semester!!

I am with the rest of you! Today was my first day and I was absolutely excited! I almost did not go to bed last night because I was so excited I wanted to puke! I was up until 1 AM preparing for the day (actually I was already prepared I just could not sleep)! I finally forced myself to pass out so I would not zone out during lecture! A second year student I know informed me that I will be "over it" come next week. We shall see. Good luck everyone!!!!

Today was the first day of the Spring semester but the college was closed due to ice rain. The kids didn't have any school either and it looks like the situation will even be worse tomorrow This should only last t'ill Thursday.
MBA2BRN--how was your first day of Nursing School ???? I can't believe the semester already started!!!

OMG, it's crazy! And so unusual for certain parts of the country. I live in Las Vegas and this morning when I left for school I took a picture of next door neighbors house that had icicles dangling from the shingles of the roof, it looked like a gingerbread house or really extravagant christmas decor! I also live right by desert mountains and they are covered in snow....We had snow last week--here in Vegas!!! Crazy! I would have been disappointed that I didn't get to go to school today! Soon enough we'll be complaining about the heat so lets enjoy it while it lasts and before we even forget how cold it got this winter!

I watched the 5:00 p.m. news and the kids' schools are closed tomorrow...of course our slow college hasnt decided yet whether we have class or not It's freezing and the ice particles are pelting the windows, icicles are hanging from the roofs here, too. The kids loved it, everything looks sugar coated.
I whipped up some sugar cookie dough, my son and my dogs looooove sugar cookies. I love baking when it's this kind of wheather. One of my dogs lives for sugar cookie dough and he will be right by my feet the entire time I operate the mixer waiting for sugar crumbles to fly all around We'll bake them tomorrow if I don't have class, lets hope we won't have power outages. Stay safe and enjoy the cooler temperatures, the heat gets crazy here in San Antonio soon enough.

You werent the only one who had fits sleeping. I probably wont sleep tonight either cause I am looking forward to Medical Terminology tomorrow. What all are you taking this semester?
Wow!!! Ya'll got it much worse than we did. There were little patches of ice on the parking lots, but nothing you cant walk around. Micro looks really interesting. I sure do dread the lab though. No projects. Just looking at boring slides. :zzzzz

I am looking forward to micro too. I don't start until next week though. A friend gave me his old notes and the labs look really hard but not just slides quite a few experiments.
Our college opens today at noon, just in time for my Growth and Development class which starts then. There are many road closures and I will have to find a way to get there. Luckily my friend is able to watch my son because the kids don't have school. Wish me luck guys
Our micro lab was verrrrrrry hands on, we did a lot of different tests and procedures. Can't imagine only working with slides. Good luck and do the best you can.
