General Biology 1 was freaking HARD for me. I studied non-stop and still only pulled a C+. It was definitely harder than high school bio (from what I remember, that was looong time ago). It's a survey course so it covers a lot of different things in a short amount of time. Chem, genetics, cells, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, mitosis/meiosis, DNA, RNA, and on and on. It's definitely hard when it's your first college science class. I found Bio 2 to be much easier and a lot more fun.
A&P wasn't nearly as difficult for me as bio 1 was.. but that might be because I took the general bios first. I also took Geology, a completely unrelated science but a science non-the-less and that helps get used to science based exams.
If you made an A in general bio, you're golden for A&P, imho.

haha I am so happy! I got an A
The instructor told us that the students who finished this class with above B will be okay in AP classes. Is that true? some people say General Biology is harder than AP (I don't know, that's what they said)
Anyway, this class was freaking hard!! only 8 students survived! out of 24 :trout:
