Finding Schools in CA for the Deficient Courses

Same here,it's been a year since I got my denial letter but I haven't found any schools yet.Im in bay area too.

Vincent, there was a recent posting that someone's friend found a college up north, passed the course and received the ATT in CA, the poster wished she had taken it also, but it hasn't been confirmed as I did ask whereabouts was this at.

There are a couple of private colleges, be prepared to be wait listed, as you can imagine the strong demand and very limited availability, but also you must have some pretty pennies in your pocket as the tuition cost can run from $7,000 plus (one was reported to cost $14,000 for a few months) and needs to be paid up front.

So, does it mean we can enroll these courses in a community college or private college? I thought we only need to enroll these in a University school since Universities offer BSN which is the program we graduated. Isn't it? Please help me clarify this. I'm eager to know. Thanks much.

It doesn't matter, if it's a public or private school, the main concern is that they are listed on the CA BRN approved school list, if they didn't tell you, then it's on the CA BRN website. Any other school or college not on that approved list, you can forget looking into it.

Public school, the local community: cheapest, hardest to get into as you're going up against the local CA residents and students.

Private: the most expensive, may have more openings, some still have 2-3-4 years on the wait list.

The common issue is that the public schools all have very limited spaces, it's all on whatever is left over from the already enrolled students, plus you're again going up against international students, not so much the locals.

Just so that you don't feel alone, there's over 4,000 international students in the same predicament, there's been only a handful of PH students and nurses who have been granted the ATT (let alone even some trying to endorse in) in CA since Nov. 2011, when the strict enforcement of the 25 plus year policy rule started to be implemented.
