how to find NCLEX results

I took my NCLEX on monday. I kept checking the vue.com for test results through the night they were due. By 6:30AM on wed, I decided to check my state board of nursing. My license number was posted meaning that I passed the test. It seems to me that the results go to the state board much quicker then NCS Pearson goes through. Check that out when you look for results.

can you help me how to get my nclex result.i took my exam last december 19,2005..having hard time gettin in pearson.vue.com..pleasee....to shorten my agony if pass or fail...lol

In which state are you located? Not all states participate in quick results.

Pearson Vue does not keep record of passing/failing results of the NCLEX exams. Once you took your NCLEX exam, the results were electronically transmitted to your state's B.O.N. for processing. Pearson Vue will not be able to tell you if you passed or failed unless your state does the quick results, so I wouldn't bother contacting them.

If your state does participate in the quick results, you can go to your state's B.O.N. website to find out if you have a license number posted (which means you passed). If your state does not participate in the quick results, you'll need to wait 4 weeks for your result in the mail.

Actually not entirely true. Over 50% of the states participate in a Quick Results program thru Pearson-Vue. The scores are available 48 hours after taking the exam, and can be very beneficial for those that are in one of those states. Not all states post that quickly. This is how you get the "Quick Results," it is the name of the program offered by Pearson-Vue.

You just need to go to your account on Pearson-Vue website, on the 2nd day after taking the exam, and if you are in a state that permits it, you will see a link there where you pay the fee of $7.95 and you will get your results. But that is only if your state particpates.

Nurses in MI, as well as NY use this route all of the time, plus many of the others.

What if the link for "quick results" isn't there? My state does participate. Pearson Vue gave me the directions but under "status" it just says "delivered" and not "quick results."

hey.. just was wondering something.. i took my boards yesterday (oct 23rd) and of course im stalking the pearson vue website. i live in nyc... pearson vue will show my results in 48 or so hours correct?? but will the board of nursing website in ny show them earlier??? or is that just in some states.. b/c (unfortunately) on that B.O.N site my name isnt there yet... is there any need to worry yet... or is NY different.. i have read that people in Ohio have gotten their results in 24 hours .. but that's Ohio... NY has to wait for Pearson vue to give the results, correct?? PLEASEEEEEee say correct haha

hey... where in bklyn did u take it.. near the manhattan bridge overpass?? its pretty there right? that aside.... i did find out my results today.. I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!! such a relief i was crying more today than i did the day i found out i failed my 1st time (ok, maybe not that much)... but anyways... it'll say ready for delivery.. then tomorrow it'll say delivery successful.. then saturday at some point it'll tell u ur exam results are ready.. click here to pay 7.95 to find out ur score bla bla bla.... so dont fret.. its saying the same things it did on mine... i'll pray for you that u did well!! was it ur first time taking it??

CONGRATS!!!! I hope I have the same outcome.

I did take it under the Manhattan bridge...1st time taking it...Computer shut off at 75 questions...lots of pharm, tons of mult response, priority, and precautions. Prob the weirdest test I've ever taken. :uhoh3:

If you live in PA DONT bother with the PEARSON VUE 24 hour results if you PASSED the PA Licensure website will have it posted the NEXT DAY for FREE. Just google Pa License GOOD LUCK!!!:nurse:
