where to find an LPN job in central NJ

it's been a month and a half since i started looking for a job as an LPN and still i haven't found any. I am a newly grad LPN with no healthcare experience. I've gone to most of the nursing homes in my area and it's either there are no openings or they need somebody with experience! so frustrating! experience doesn't just fall from the sky.. somebody has to train somebody to gain experience.. where else can i apply?

Have you tried doctor's offices? Lots of them hire LPNs! Good luck to you.

Hey....Im a newly LPN grad too. I also live in Central NJ and Im looking for a job. I dont know if you

got one already,, but it will be helpful to know where I can apply. I moved to NJ about a month ago and dont know too much about the areas. I have some health care experience.

I worked in a Dr.'s office in NY for 3 yrs.

Hopefully you can give me some ideas!!

I havent found a job yet. I am still waiting for responses on my applications. I went online and found nursing homes near my place and went to each one and filled out an application. sometimes they tell you if there is an opening but most of the time they dont. You'll get the usual.. we'll get back to you. I think it would be easier for you because you have healthcare experience. the closest thing to healthcare i did was be a receptionist and transcriptionist at a doctor's office. i also applied to some doctor's offices.. the offers were way too low compared to nursing homes. there is a job fair on thursday april 16 at new brunswick. check www.nurseguide.com for info. hope this helps you in any way! goodluck to us! :)

I've seen ads on Craigslist for Dr.'s office positions for LPNs in Central NJ. If you already have 3 years of office experience that should help a lot.

I went to the job fair in New Brunswick yesterday and the only company there that said they would hire new grads was Genesis Healthcare. You may want to look into that company.

Thanks.... I didnt have time to check up this before. I got a job in a dermatology office doing mohs sx. It hast been so bad .... I might do some per diem shifts to get exp in general derm!!
