CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
Good for u. You are finally in. I'm happy to hear that you have some anxiety about nursing schools because that will keep you on your feet. Just make sure you don't overwhelm yourself with stress. A little stress is good for everyone. Is nursing school hard? YES. Is it doable?YES Will you make it? My magic ball says...YES.
Rmember a nursing degree is a professional degree and professors are not going to put up with the missed classes or students not paying attention. However, faculty has always been so very nice to the students (I think its the nurse in them. LOL) So if you have any concers talk to them, dont let it roll over like a ball of snow. It may come back to haunt you.
Again good luck!! CIAO
Hi guys,This is my first post, happy to be here .After finishing prerequisites I am starting my nursing school in august, I really like the medical feild and love to be a nurse. I heard from my peers that nursing school is challenging, I am afraid whether I have what it takes passing with good grades from nursing school. Do good nurses have above average intelligence? Simply, what it takes to be a good nurse? THANKS
Hi-
I just joined not to long ago. I too, will be starting in August 2006, and I am soooooo excited. I have learned a TON from this website. I have a 9 year old daughter, so it took me longer to do prereqs. I started out in Washington state, ended up here in Missouri, and will be going in. It is such a relief to know I am going in, as up in washington it was an unknown if you'd make it even with the prereqs.
Just sift through this stuff, especially the student nursing forums. It'll be a mood booster I'm sure if we've had bad days. It's very supportive on the message boards.
Seems like I've been going to school forever, but after 4 years, I am readyto finally be going in and earning a paycheck!
Krista
Congratulations
I just recently finished up my pre reqs also, but im going to OTA school starting May 1st. I think to make it through nursing school you got to work hard and study hard. I have a few friends in nursing school and I know they are busting their butts with studying to get through it and it's working. Be dedicated to it and work hard and im sure you will be fine.
