I've been trying to get an icu position since 2010. I came close twice but I always end up with something blocking me. But today, I received an offer and I will be starting in one month. I am greatful and I will work hard to reach my goals. I am a CVICU nurse.
I was fortunate to get a job offer on a small CVICU without any issues, whatsoever, 2 months before I even finished my ADN program. Me and my fellow new grad hire are learning sooo much, it's just the 2 of us and everyone has been so great with welcoming us and teaching us things, even the CT surgeon, he is simply the easiest doctor to talk to and an awesome teacher. My preceptor has been awesome and has a wealth of knowledge! We are all so close already after just 2 months of working together! Congrats and welcome to the CVICU!

If CVICU is like the CV Recovery Room in my hospital, may God have mercy on your soul. I salute anyone who wants to take on that responsibility.
