Wow what a dreadful year this has been looking for a job in california, bay area. It's an absolute NIGHTMARE!!!! Each manager getting 1000+ applications, horrifying!!!
Finally I managed to pull through after 1 year of nonstop preservation :) It's at a local hospital, close to my home, with decent wages. I'm just stoked this new grad nightmare is finally over.
Specializes in ED, ICU, MS/MT, PCU, CM, House Sup, Frontline mgr.
SF Bay Area? Nice. Unfortunatley, your New Grad nightmare has just begun because technically you are still a New Grad..... woooahahahahaha . Good luck!
If I may ask, how do you think you "separated yourself from the pack"? I just graduated and passed boards and find that making yourself stand out to even get an interview is really challenging.
Wow, you pulled off a miracle. I have 1.5 yrs. psych experience and I can't buy a job around here. In fact, I'm probably leaving nursing because of that.....with 5-6 nursing schools pumping out grads it's insane around the bay.
I agree, perserverance is key and dont be afraid to use your old networking and connections from preceptorship. Thats how I got my three job offers after graduation in May in the Bay area and LA. Stay strong Graduates, its possible.
