So Im finally going to submit my application to a community college. The only bad part is that its part-time and will take me 5 yrs to complete and be eligible to sit for the RN licensure. I have to go with that option because it suits my schedule better. But we'll see..........

That's great news! It's good that it fits your schedule; don't worry too much about how long it takes. You will still reach your goal either way. Good luck! :urck:

Good for you! Its a big deal to get to that point. Yeah. If the school is highly competitive, you may also want to consider applying to other schools, too. You can always say "no thanks" to your second or third choice, but there is a great feeling to know you have something else on the back burner and that you didn't waste any time if the school you want is a popular choice.
Also, even if it takes 5 years going part time, if it works for you, thats what matters! There are plenty of people who have to spend 3 years on a wait list and then 2-3 years on nursing school after 2 or more years of prereqs - so you are ahead of the game!!
Congrats and best wishes! When will you find out?
