FINAL SEMESTER!

For those of you entering your final semester, I wanted to share an "it's really happening" moment...

My final tuition was due recently. I looked at the break down of charge per credit, lab fees, etc and noticed a $300 NCLEX fee. That's when it hit me. I am one semester away from being a graduate nurse. The combination of excitement and anxiety was overwhelming. We go back in the end of August, take our last final and finish clinical in October, and then precept for 5 weeks. It's crazy how the time flew!

I read some of the posts from people who are eager to start their first semester. Some make me giggle, I relate to others, and some are posted by that student we all remember from the first day of class. You know.... The "she's never going to make it with that attitude" student.

Seeing that little "NCLEX fee" on my bill made me realize that all of the tears, test anxiety, and countless ours of studying have been so worth it. No, they're not over yet, but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have finished nursing school, and am getting ready for my nclex. It is all fun and nerve wracking all in one. We had an exit exam that we had to pass, so I concentrated on that.

Congrats to everybody!!! I am entering my last two semesters in a month! I am hoping that once the semester starts, it will go by as fast as last year and I'll be done before I know it. So exciting!!! And like someone said above, it is so fun to read posts about new nursing students ready to start because we've gone from there to here! Good luck to everybody on their final semesters/years and their NCLEX as well as job hunting!!!

I feel the exact same way!!! I am entering my final semester as well and there is so much going on! I cannot believe its coming to an end but there's also still many hurdles to jump!! Good luck to everyone :-)

$300 NCLEX fee? Is it for a review course? The actual NCLEX exam fee is less than $300.

Yes, it's for our ATI Review seminar + the NCLEX.

I'm heading into my final semester as well. There are days that I sit back and wonder how I ever got to this point. When I started part time 5 years ago, this final semester seemed so far off... like the day would never get here. While I'm happy to be at this point, I'm also very nervous and still wondering if I will make the right decisions when I am out there in the real world.

I took RN Predictor on Monday and scored an 87% chance that I would pass NCLEX on the first try. I'm still doing 100 questions a day in order to bring the score up higher.

Only 141 more days to go.,,, Good luck to my fellow about to be graduates!

Am I the only person that is terrified of starting the last semester. It is not the semester that scares me. It is finishing and having to take the nclex. I am so scared of it. Every time I think of it my heart rate goes up and the anxiety turns on. :0

Im with you too!

Glad I'm not alone! Thanks :D

I almost fainted when I saw that $300 extra fee for ATI. LOL. Today I finished my last ever class in nursing school by taking the ATI predictor. It doesn't feel over yet. When will that feeling sink in? Certainly not tonight.

We spent 2 years for pre-req (some spent 3 years), got accepted into the adn or bsn program without waiting (some have to wait 1 or 2, or even 3 years), then some get kicked out, some have to try really hard to survive through nursing school for 2-3 years (some have to repeat the classes). You are so lucky to be where u are now, last semester student. What? Yessss !!! And last one semester =4 months. You're almost there already ! Awesome !! Be proud of yourself ! :)
