2. How many hours per day did you study? how many questions did u answer per day?

3. How many days or months in total you studied before taking the exam?

1. WHAT ARE THE MATERIALS THAT YOU USED?

I used NCSBN online review for 12 weeks then after did some practice questions using NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy practice tests and Saunders 3rd ed. practice tests CD ROM.

2. HOW MANY HOURS PER DAY DID YOU STUDY? HOW MANY QUESTIONS DID YOU ANSWER PER DAY?

It really depends on my mood. I don't want to force myself to study if I'm not in the mood.

Usually, I try to answer at least 75 questions. During the last few months of my review, I try to answer 265 questions.

3. HOW MANY DAYS OR MONTHS IN TOTAL YOU STUDIED BEFORE TAKING THE EXAM?

Believe it or not, I studied for 8 months.

4. WHAT ARE THE SPECIFIC STRATEGIES THAT YOU USED OR THE TEST TAKING SKILLS YOU APPLIED DURING THE EXAM?

Read the questions carefully and analyze.

5. TAKE ONE OR TAKE TWO?

Take ONE!:lol2:

"hey...a job well done,,,,i decided to have self review too...still waiting for my ATT though...can i ask for the web site of NCSBN online review...

>>thanks!!!!

Yay I have been waiting to answer the 5 questions! haha

2. How many hours per day did you study? how many questions did u answer per day?

- I usually study from 1pm til 12mn but I take frequent 1 hour breaks, so I end up answering and rationalizing 100-300 items per day

3. How many days or months in total you studied before taking the exam?

3 months. The first month and a half was devoted to reading the Saunders book and the rest just for the practice exams

4. What are the specific strategies that you used or the the test taking skills you applied during the exam?

- ABCs, Maslow, Nursing process, elimination

1. material used:

-Saunders Q&A, go straight to the answer, you'll remember it rather than choosing between options, you'll most likely remember the one you answered wrong.

-some notes on MED-SURG

2. hours per day that i studied:

30minutes to 1 1/2 hours at night

3. months of study time in total before exam:

3mos the first one,1 month on the next

4. Strategies used:

eliminate options that are similar

5.Take one or two?

took two nclex for different state boards, passed both, stopped at 213 and 90

*i realized that if you did study well in college, then no one needs to go to a review center

God bless to all test takers, you can make it!

Why did you take NCLEX again if you have passed it the first time you did?

I'm curious about that too.. why didn't you just endorse your NCLEX and file your licensure application?

oh because the first one is for california board, i guess you know that when you lack ssn, you can't have a license number there, i took the next one for illinois since my employer is from there and they cant start the petition without a valid license i think... i suggest that you dont go for cali, haha :p

There is a process to endorse NCLEX passing without endorsing the license.

California is a wonderful state to live and work in, so if you want to do that then you should apply there.

In order to save money and time really the best thing to do is to apply to the state you want to end up in since BON policies are changing all the time and endorsement may not be a viable option in the future for a foreign nurse.

Regardless of viable or not, it is always expensive.

i did try to do the endorsement for illinois, but i guess the easiest way is to take it again.

and yes it was a bit expensive,

you're right to choose the state where you want to work first as always is discussed in the forums..

lesson learned:p

study well people..
