Band score: 6.5

Speaking: 7.0

Practice writing and speaking. As I have read from other posts, its possible that you have to take SEC before you can become eligible to take CRNE. SEC includes both ORAL and WRITTEN exams for psychia, pedia, ms, and mc.

I just arrived in Ontario like 3 mos ago and now my credentials are to be evaluated by the CNO.. Im just wondering if there are nurses out there like me who is a perminent resident in Ontario waiting for the CNO assessment.. Want to share some ideas about the process.. Thanks very much!

There are already other threads that are addressing this and specific to Ontario.

Please just have a look for them, no reason to have the same information posted in several places.

Hi guys. I just want to ask if there's a Filipino among you who was able to find an employer in BC Canada as a nurse. Pls do give me some informations on how were you able to find an employer. You could post it here or even pm me. I need some help with this since I heard it is really hard to find one. Thanks.

Things are in flux in Alberta at the moment. Our government is reorganizing our health care system and there will be a number of layoffs coming in the next few months. We're being assured that no one on the front lines will be losing their jobs, but I've learned NEVER to trust this government to keep their promises on anything, even trivial things. In recent weeks I've noticed a drop in the number of positions being posted on our employment websites. The best advice I can give you is to apply. Your husband might have a harder time finding work in his field because of the sagging economy though.

Things are in flux in Alberta right now. Our government is undertaking to reorganize our health care system and there will be many layoffs in the next few months. We've been assured that no one on the front lines will be laid off, but I've learned through bitter experience not to trust this government to keep its promises on anything, no matter how trivial. I have noticed a significant drop in the number of positions on our employment website in recent weeks though, despite ongoing vacancies. The best advice I can give is just to apply. What's the worst that can happen? You get turned down. The best that can happen? You find a job and have the assistance you need to take advantage of it. Your husband, on the other hand, will likely have much more trouble finding work in his field due to the sagging economy. Best of luck.
