Published

to all tourist visa holder filipino citizen (not fil-am or us immigrant) nursing grads that:

-- did the live scan in california; and

-- passed the nclex app in ca and used a ca address

how long did it take you to get an att?

or anyone who knows anyone that did this?

thanks

:nono: id like to request answers that address this specific question... no more of the 'dont do it in california' type of answers please

Moved your thread to the Int'l forum since it is not specific for issues re: the Philippines only eventhough you are asking specifically for Filipino grads. Thank you for understanding.

i think you need to add one more: - registered in pearson vue for ATT

(unless what you mean is the eligibility only from the BRN).

well yup, you can add that too. i guess no has done this before, no one has responded yet! :chuckle

California takes four to six months before you will get approval to sit for the NCLEX exam, and that is even if you are an American citizen. If you attended school out of the US, then you are going to have to wait that time, no matter where you hold citizenship.

They do their own credentials evaluation. And are very specific in it. That is why I always tell everyone, especially if you trained out of the US and are not a US citizen to go to another state for initial licensure and then just endorse.

There is no speedy process for CA if you trained overseas, it is not even speedy if you went to school in the US either, but is not as long as out of the country.

It is your choice on what to do..................but if in the US on a tourist visa, and with retorgression looming, and you have not taken the exam, not a good move at this time. And you also need to figure in the time for waiting for results, at least two weeks since you will only get it by snail mail.

Hope that you did not go this route. Live scan or fingerprint cards make no difference and do not speed things up. And the other issue is if you took the exam in June.

hi!this is my first time to apply for nclex and i don't know where to begin.can u pls help me.and how long does it take to apply an nclex application in arizona?thanks

Hi. You may start by reading Suzanne's Primer w/c can be found at the top. There is also a list of relevant websites their that all foreign RNs should know.

To start you off.. AZ needs CGFNS's CES (Credential Evaluation Service) or if you already have a CGFNS Certificate they will also accept that.

For more info. you may go to AZ's official website and of course CGFNS.

Feel free to ask questions if you need more clarifications after reading Suzanne's Primer and after going through your relevant websites.

Do not even consider registering with Pearson-Vue yet.............wait until you get approval to even sit for the exam. And since it takes four to six months plus, even when there are no issues, it may be longer. And with the retrogression happening shortly, you are going to be in a real pickle. You are going to be unable to go the AOS route, and that will be for some time. As soon as the visas are no longer current, ther will be no acceptance of the I-140 and I-485 petitions and those are needed for the AOS.

Thousands have done it, and there are many threads already on the same subject. That is why they are not answering.

Please take the time to do some reading here.
