VOMIT!!!!!!
I just registered for my first nursing exam. Transition to the professional RN. Did the practice exams. Got a 52% on A and a 72% on B.
Just guess the fear of the unknown.
Registered today but when I checked excelsior not says I cannot schedule my exam until 5/5 at the earliest. Don't know what is up with that.
Not really asking of looking for any validation, just need to express some built up nervousness.
I post it here since others can probably relate to what I am feeling/experiencing.
Congrats! How was foundations?Differences points to remember:
*know your lab values (electrolytes, creatinine, albumin, etc)
*Acid base balance is a must
*Lots of order of operation/importance questions regarding pt care
Passed both Differences and Safety today!
Great Job. Passing two test's in one day, wow! Impressive.
What can I say about Foundations........ There are ALOT of SATA. Know your nursing diagnosis'. There were a lot of questions about end of life and cultural differences. There was only one or two medication calculation questions, i think i used a calculator on only one question. Oh and also know how the RN works with interdisciplinary teams, there are a bunch of questions on that.
Other then that the test wasn't too bad.
Great job. How was it? What resources did you use to study? It's my next one after Info Lit.
I used Studygroup101 as my primary resource. I like them because each guide is like 1300-1500 pages long and the first 200-300 is all the necessary stuff you need to know already broken down for you. The next 400 pages are mostly test questions and then the remainder is charts, graphs and the actually copied pages from the books that are listed by excelsior that the test questions are pulled from. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Congrats Bill! That is awesome! Please keep us posted.I am on to Foundations, set to test on June 9th.
Thanks. When I started the nursing portion I would have never guessed I would be this far this quick. Circumstances allowed me to dedicate all my time to studying. I scheduled my reproductive health exam for June 1st.
Let me know how you do on foundations. I'm sure you'll do fine.
