FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

If ANY one can help me clarify this I would REALLY appreciate it.
I have to take out student loans to live off of while I am in the classes. I have been to the financial aid office and they are giving me the run around. I have a 2 year old son and I will not be able to work full time and complete the program at the same time. I get FAFSA to cover my classes but not books or living expenses.
FCCJ only supports 3 lenders which include Bank of America, Suntrust and some other bank. I called Bank of America and they said they only lend federal loans that support tuition and school. So what do I do about living expenses? I need a student loan so that repayment does not start until 6 months after the program ends.
Would I be able to contact a different lender that FCCJ does not "support". I hope I have enough time to get all of this completed. I am already stressing out (*teardrop)

There are other lenders available these are just the 3 they recommend due to the success rate of approvals; that its what on the form and I talked to Patty in the Fin. aid office and she said you can pick your own lender as long as they are participate in the FFEL program.....for example I bank with Wachoiva who participates and offers a slight rate reduction if you have an acct with them....there is a website that shows allthe lenders in FFEL program ...sorry I dont remember what it is but you can google it. Hope this helps

Stethoscopes------My husband has been a nurse for 8 yrs (Shands ER) and also a clinical director for SJCC he said that any littman is fine at your clinical level. The only reason to buy the more expensive version is to give fccj a kick back.

How are you all doing your name tags? Entire name? First name with last initial?

The name tags that you order from Meridy's- it says to put your name in the blank and it will create the ID based on FCCJ's specifications.

I'm done in less than 4 hours, north side clinic rules ! 187.00 + 26.00 for drug test........picked up chain of custody at 9:00, by 10 Physical, shots, blood, everything done, I return wenday for skin pop check, titers can be picked up then... I got the finger prints done at ups store, and for extra 10.00 photos are done, picked up my ultra manly Betty-Boop skills kit...... and now it is beer thirty... north side clinic is the key! Ttfn!

Polo's at Florida Specialty are $14.75 each and after 3 pm today they will be fully stocked. Just pop in M-F ~ they are open till 5pm.

What are the guidelines for the photos?

I'm not sure of the exact guidelines for the photo, but the lady at the UPS store assured me for 10.00, the passport photos would fulfill the requirements. If she was wrong, no biggie, I just thought it nice to have it done. :up:
