FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

Published

Well, it's never too soon to start thinking about this. Anyone else thinking of applying for Summer 2009?

Misswhitney, I know your class was not required to wear your polos and kakhis to class everyday (or so I heard), but how often do you wear them? I know we'll find out more about them when we go to orientation, but I'm just trying to figure how many to order.

If your interested in a LITTMANN Stethoscope, I found this PDF- thought it might help those searching out a stethoscope!

It compares all the LITTMANNs together!

Happy Hunting!

Oh and if you get anything from allnurses.com- littmann's are not included in the free shipping over X dollars but this promo will work for $19 off your total: AHWLCM9TN

Has anybody used, the north side medical clinic, The rumor was, they were used to the paperwork and every thing required for FCCJ, does any one have the number or address for this mythical place, I would love to get this thing done during spring break.... would that not be cool?

Hi Huckfin, you have to go to Northside Clinic to have the drug screening done. The info is in part C on the pages that go over the background check and fingerprinting. I think I am just going to get all of the medical stuff done when I go there. I have read on other boards that the prices are not that bad and like you said they are already familiar with the paperwork.

I just thought about something. We can't get the the drug screening done until the week of the 6th because you have to get the chain of custody form from the school and next week is Spring Break. I thought I was going to be able to get anything done next week while I am off from work.

Oh really? FCCJ is out till the 6th? So everyone will be out of the office for a week? I didn't know that! Thanks!

Hey, is anyone planing to get the cardiology 3, from meridy's, that bugger is 169.00+?, uniforms and the basics already cost 267.00, my bank already called me and said what the H****, so it looks like northside for physical monday, finger prints in orange park, skills kit and polo shirts to buy..... next week the drug test........ yea! I'm looking to sell plasma now!

LOL! Huck, I am definitely with you on that.

Did everyone who accepted the invitation for summer 2009 receive their packet via email? I called on Friday to accept - voice mail on Ms. James' number. I also called the office and was told the packets were being sent out on Friday but so far no email (fccj email) and no packet in the mail. Thanks so much!

Just a FYI. I just got snail mail.FCCJ mailed a hard copy of the packet.

I don't think they are implementing the whole "Where your khakis to class everyday" thing until fall... my term had no idea about it and I am an FNSA member and some of the 1st and 2nd termers told me that. I bought two, but you can make do with one. You use it about once a week to pick up your assignment for clinical and for your volunteer hours (though I don't think I have ever worn mine to any volunteer thing). I am not too sure how they are doing simulations now, but you might have to wear it for that. One should be fine. Especially since they will probably make you buy another one if and when the new name goes into effect.

I counted 82 email addresses in the email and I also got my hard copy by mail today.
