FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

Well, it's never too soon to start thinking about this. Anyone else thinking of applying for Summer 2009?

Does eanyone know about the certifiedbackground.com where you have to get your background check? I completed the registration for it and paid. But the confirmation page gives me a password and when you enter the password on the sign on page, it just says thank you for submitting your reqest, your order is being processed. And nothing ever happens.

Part B on our forms just say to print the confirmation page. Is this all we need?

I just checked the certified background and it says mine is completed and it allowed me to view the results.. i completed mine yesterday so I would just keep checking. Also, check your email, after i submitted mine yestereday i got an email about my work history (even though i do not have a work history) anyway just check your email to make sure they dont need additional info from you.

the confirmation is all you need... the results will be automatically sent to the school

I called the nursing department this morning and the lady really didn't give me any clear answers...she basically said that the reason the physical and tb test have to be done after april 11th is so that it's good for a year and we wont have to get another one done....but we don't graduate until august so wouldn't we have to get another one done anyway? anyway she also said that she doesn't understand why they only gave us two days ( i pointed out that if we have the tb test done on monday the 13th, they wouldn't even check it until that wednesday). She said to just call back on monday and hopefully we will have more answers... i guess if i have to I will pay for another physical and tb test... whatever i have to do to keep my spot!

I would just relax and wait till Monday. It would be rediculous to go through the physcial and TB test again just for 10 days or so.

How long do you think it took you to go to campus, pick up the document and then get the drug screening? Can you can the whole thing done in under an hour you think?

I think you could get it done in an hour if there isn't alot of people ahead of you. I think I waited about 10 min before they called me back after i signed in.

I AM SO FRUSTARTED TODAY. I work in a call center but I am on vacation this week. This morning one of my co-workers called to tell me that someone called into the CALL CENTER looking for a verification of employment. I am not sure why they would even call that number. Then she called back and said another one of our friends spoke to this lady as well. So when I got home I saw that there was an out of state number that had called me several times so I called the number back to see if that was her …it was. This lady was soooo nasty; she had a very bad attitude. She told me that she could not complete the background check until she spoke to someone. I kept trying to tell her that the company I work for will only verify employment via a website. (I provided a phone number that would give these instructions but she said the # is not on her system but it’s on my confirmation page) She told me she could not understand why she couldn’t speak to someone or fax something. She also stated that she would continue to call into the call center.

Then all of a sudden she said that it was verified and it would cost an additional $10.00. This upset me because I have not told anyone at work my plans so now everyone wants to know why this person is calling.

Oh man... that sucks! I hope you are able to get everything straightened out soon. If I were you I would call and talk with a supervisor of the company- tell them your situation and that you gave specific instructions in the comment box of how to get employment verification information from your employer. Then push for a refund because you provided them the necessary information. It said something in the fine print that you would be charged an additional amount if you lived in different counties within the past x years not if they couldn't get a hold of your employeer- it took 3 calls to get a hold of my boss (so the results say). I also had a different last name (since I just got married) and they didn't charge me any extra to track down that information as well. Check your statements too to see if they actually charged your credit card- maybe the nasty lady was just bluffing =)

What is worksource? Can anybody tell me a little bit about it?

I was looking forward to starting in the fall. Just from reading these posts, "Sounds like a disaster!!", Wonder if I should apply elsewhere. I hope the program itself is not reflective of this type of nonsense.
