FCCJ schedule

Hey all.

I know that if you Fall 1st semesters have not gone to orientation yet, you will be going soon.

Do you know what your schedule will be?

Just curious. I'm applying for January and should get in, so I'm am considering day program vs. night/weekend, taking into consideration my 2 & 4 year olds' schedule.

thx!!

HI!

I am getting ready to start in a couple weeks in the night/weekend program. My schedule for the first semester is:

Monday: TEST 6-7:30

Thursday: CLASS 6-9

Friday: (about 1/2 way through the 1st semester, we will start clinicals at the hospital, and on Friday at some point during the day, we will have to go to the hospital and get patient info to write a care plan that night that will be used the next day....I'm pretty sure that's how it will go, at least)

Saturday: CLASS/CLINICAL (class the 1st 1/2 of the semester, clinical the rest....once again....I think) 7-2:30

Sunday: CLASS 9-4

From what I saw on the day program (there were 12 different sections to choose from, but only 12 people per section)....the class and clinical times were quite varied. The night program seems to be a more steady approach if, let's say, you work full time during the day (which I do, unfortunately), or if you have kids and no day care.

I hope this helps, and good luck! I hope you get in!

I think only 24 people are in the night/weekend schedules. So, it's quite competitive. I'm in the day program, so just like kertz81 said the schedules are varied. Luckily, I got to pick the one I want :)

Hi 12breakfree.

Congrats on getting in! :-)

Can I ask you what your schedule is? (I'm tring to decide whether to appy for day or night and I have no idea what I could expect from a day schedule).

Also, do you know anyone else's day schedule? Is it very different from your own?

Thank you so much. This would help a lot.

I don't know anyone else who in the day program, but I did partnered up with a lady I met during orientation. We both chose the same section, so basically we have the same classes and clinical.

Our schedule:

M-Test

T- classes from 9am-4pm (break in between)

W-7am-2:30pm (clinical also included, I think, but i'm not sure how it goes yet)

Th-1-4pm class

Note: All day programs are similar the only thing different is the clinical and one online class, which are being offered to only several sections to choose from. I hope this help you a bit :)

i'm actually kinda liking my schedule now... i didn't get my first choice clinical site but i figure we will only be there for a few weeks as opposed to a whole semester.

another plus is that i only have to be at the campus 3 days a week instead of 4. (i live by jax beaches so it's a long drive)

M - testing

W - concepts 9a-12p, assessment 1p-4p

F - techniques 7a-2:30p

pharm is online...

I wanted to have an online pharm too, but if I picked that my clinical will be too far away. Yeah, the driving is kinda nuts but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? I thought I might be the only student lives miles away from school.

miss rochelle,

if you wouldn't mind, please keep us up-and-comers posted on how pharm is online. i hear mixed reviews.

thx.

I have the same schedule as Miss Rochelle. I tried to look up all of the professors I could before orientataion. I ended up choosing section 7 because 1. Memorial is just down the street from me 2. there are fewer days to have to drive to school and 3. there were 2 out of 4 professors on the schedule that had REALLY REALLY good ratings on rate my professor.-- infact the online pharm professor is supposed to be really good to work with--

Hope everyone is getting comefortable with the schedule.. has anyone gotten any emails or new info from FCCJ yet?
