FCCJ "cut off" points

i'm posting this because i'd like to have one whole thread dedicated to this. i've seen people mention in several threads what past cut off points have been, so in this one i'd like to have the stats for the past cut off points, starting with this past summer.

if you have the info, please post it!

cut off points for:

summer 07 term

spring 07

fall 06

summer 06

You can put a preference, ie: (#1) in the space in front of days, (#2) in the space in front of evenings/weekends on the form.

Please understand, there are only 24 slots for evenings/weekends and there are many working stiffs going back to school who *need* this spot....as a result, it is much tougher to get.

It can't hurt to mark both, in order of interest. Good Luck! Let us know!

I'm trying to get in myself. I know the cut off pts for Jan09 was 183 I believe.

I'm aslo trying to get in for this summer!! Since they are changing what counties to pull from, I believe Duval students will have a better chance! Have you turned in your app already?

I would definetly take the NAT test again and try for higher pts. I bombed my first one but did must better the 2nd time since I knew what to expect. It can't hurt you, they take the higher grade of the two!

Hi Lynn, 217, WOW! Hope they give me a seat by you with my 199.7 pts. I thought the NAT test was hard, and I studied that durn book also!

Darbie, I originally thought I had less points, but the lady told me they would take the Humanities I got an A in last semester instead of the sucky one I had from the '80's. LOL.

I actually was unimpressed by the NAT. I think a lot of it was just "stuff you know". I have never in my life taken a Physics class and it's been probably 30 years since the last Biology class I've taken. I found the Arco book was good for reviewing Science subjects and word problems, although I had just taken College Algebra and word problems were pretty fresh in my memory.

Good luck to you! You should have no problems with 199.7.

Well everyone that gave me advice, I decided to take the NAT again. I brought my score up 16 points on the NAT. I studied the ARCO book and just got real familiar with it all.. lol

I applied today with 193.68 points with evening/weekends as my 1st choice so I can be at the deerwood campus. I am not sure what the minimum score for that is, but I thought it was worth a shot.

Hopefully I'll get in for the summer term...

I'll be saying my prayers!!!

Hi, I have my name in the hat for summer also, so I hope to be there, I only made 90 on the NAT, but I have a total of 208, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I'm also hoping a couple of my friends make it with 181. it took me a year to do the prerequisites, now I am getting impatient. good luck to all, and looking forward to meeting my new class mates.

hey everyone, i applied for summer as well! i applied last semester but missed it by 3 points. i finished micro and took the Nat again and did much better. I will be applying with 219.4 this time so i feel pretty good. hope to see everyone at orientation!!

Has anyone seen the new nursing classrooms at Deerwood yet? They are really nice! I have a class there on Tues. and Thurs. and walked through the new section. I peeked in the classrooms and they are very cool.
