Is anyone apart of a Facebook page just for your program and semester? Wondering wether it would be helpful to create one or if its too much drama.
There is a facebook page for the class of 2015 that includes students from all over. I started one for my school but unpublished it after reading the student handbook where it says we are not allowed to use the school name in any way.
I would check your nursing I structor before you do that. It may be against policy. I personally (and this is just my opinion) don't think it's a good idea. Notated how careful you think you are being, all it takes is someone to read a post in a different way than it was intended and it can cause all sorts of problems.

Typing from the iPad was difficult on that one. Should say instructor and no matter. Sheesh:)
My school allows it, and we have one. Of course, most younger people have their own anyway, so my teachers cover what NOT to put on facebook on day one. I feel as class of 2014, we know what not to put on there. There has actually been no drama on ours, and it has been extremely helpful! We use it for someone to alert us, "hey, grades are up!" Or someone may mention a study group that's going to go on for a test. It's basically used to help remind one another of updates from teachers, grades, and assignments (in case we forgot a deadline or if we do not understand how to do the project in general).
It is good and bad. I wouldn't do it instead do one for the study groups. That way you can minimize the people who have contact with posts. Assume that someone will show an instructor or an official post so never post anything. Do not talk about teachers even in a positive light. Do not talk about clinicals at all. Basically, be very cautious.
