Favorite nurse movie.

"Wit" was great.

I always love Emma Thompson, but this was especially good. At the time I saw it, I was also in cancer treatment, so it was very meaningful for me. Certain scenes definitely stay with me still.

excellent movie! shows an autonomous nurse who's as smart as the doctors.

you 're right; i concede. i'm just totally amazed that someone else saw it and remembered it. did you read the book?

i really felt she was a heroic character.

Great movie. I have seen this movie in years and it was a good deplection of military nurses during the Vietnam war.

Just curious, why Terms of Endearment? It has a short minute scene with nurses with Shirly MacClain which did show nurses in a positive light?

I saw and old black and white some years ago about two sisters in nursing school. They were caring for a little boy with a trach that needed suctioning (with their mouths!!) and the one sister left the boy alone to flirt with a doctor and the kid died, but the sister took the fall for it. Wish I could remember the name!

I'm partial to real life TV programs like TLC and Discovery Health Channel programs showing the general population what it is like to be a nurse. I find shows like ER and St Elsewhere entertaining, but not true to life:)

Handmaidens wasn't a movie but a short-lived TV series.

Wasn't the nun in Heaven Knows Mr Allyson a nurse. I really loved that movie.
