Med/Surg has been my favorite but I physically, mentally and emotionally can't do it anymore. I do enjoy HH. I work in medical imaging. The patients and co-workers are wonderful, the work itself is mondane IMHO.

I love working in the ICU. I knew when I was in nursing school that is where I wanted to end up, it just took me 7+ years to get there. I've worked in sooo many areas in nursing and am very grateful for the path I took. It really gave me appreciation for nurses everywhere. There are strong and weak nurses in every area of nursing...no area is "better" than another. I am sooo grateful for all of the wonderful nurses who mentored me, encouraged me and consoled me along the way....

Med-Surg and the wide variety of patients.

Specializes in NICU.

NICU. I like having only a couple of patients. If I'm busy with one, I can't always get to the other immediately (unless it's urgent of course), but I don't miss having 5 patients calling at the same all needing a nurse. Try as I might, I could never be that many places at once. And my patients are all so darn cute :D
