FAU Traditional 2014 Students

Published

Hello Everyone,

I decided to create a thread for us new nursing students in FAU's Traditional program. I was just accepted myself, congrats to everyone else! We can get to know one another and answer questions and stuff :) To start off, is anyone transferring? If so from what schools? Was FAU your first choice?

Hi J_Nurse what was your overal cum GPA, Science GPA and Teas test score. I want to apply for next year.

Hi nicustudent,

My GPA I believe was 3.83 as calculated by nursingCAS that's for science only, my overall was more like 3.7. For TEAS I got a 82% but I am also an FAU student so I think that also had bearing on my acceptance

I'm an FAU student too! good? do you remember what class we can take even though we are not in the nursing program? Did you take all you science at FAU? I am an elementary education at FAU so I graduate this DECEMBER I did all my pre-reqs at PBSC. I hope I have a chance :) How did you EXACTLY study for the TEAS?

Yes I took all of them at FAU, but I'm not sure what classes you should take in the meantime. Maybe someone in the nursing building can help. And congrats on your graduation! If I were to minor it would be in elementary education. For the TEAS I bought the McGraw Hill practice book and took the practice tests, making sure I understood why I got the ones wrong that I did. Science is usually my weakest, but it definitely helped to practice

Thank you very much J_Nurse.

Hey guys I wanted to ask a few questions about fau's nursing program do you really get your bachelor after 5 semester after finishing your prereqs?
