FAU FNP class August 2018

Hi! I wanted to create a space for any applicants to FAUs FNP or AGNP program beginning in August 2018 to post updates :)

I sure did! I actually just took the final exam this afternoon. I am guessing no one out there took it, as well?

Does anyone know anything at all about the other course we'll be taking in the fall?

This board has been really dead and I am wondering how many people are going to actually be at HBOI. Is there still no FB group?

How was the class?

And from what I remember from the info session last years class was around 35-40 people.

Hi, I know most of you are probably too busy to answer to this thread anymore but I just had a couple of questions about the application process. Who were your letters of recommendations from? and what was your undergraduates gpa's? Any response is helpful. Thankyou :)

Specializes in Psych, Substance Abuse, Case Management.

My letter of recommendation was from my nurse manager, who was also teaching per diem at FAU. My undergrad GPA was 3.69.

Does anyone who has taken this program want to sell any books? I am starting this semester.

I do if interested I have caring in nursing classics, value by design, philosophical and theoretical perspectives, middle range theories and nursing case studies in caring that I am willing to part with. The others I think I will hold onto for use.

How much for these books?

Hey. Are you local? I would give you all 4 for like $60 I’m sure I will not need them again however I’m not sure if they will change the editions when you take the courses ? Those are from the first 3 semesters.

- Policy and politics; (3rd Semester) $20.

- On Caring (1st Semester) $5

I am in Melbourne but will be going to the HBOI campus starting next Thursday
