Anyone out there that is applying to start the FAU Nursing program in May 2013? I have submitted my application for the accelerated program. It is the only program I am applying for so I am really hoping to receive an acceptance letter! I realize it will be quite some time until we know either way and thought we could get some conversation going among applicants.
For all the other applicants that are still waiting to hear an answer, I just wanted to let you know that I spoke to a lady in the student services department this afternoon and she told me that not all the emails have gone out yet. She continued to say that they are going out in batches and it has nothing to do with whether you were accepted, wait listed, or denied. She said that there are still individuals that were accepted that do not know because they haven't been able to send out all of the emails yet. So don't lose hope and just keep being patient. She did say that they hope to have them all out by March 1st.
@gatorgirl15 ... Not to be too friendly but I kind of love you ... Lol ... I have been completely freaking out and at least this lets us know what's going on which is such a relief. I had gotten to the point where any answer would have been less stressful than this lack of any communication :)
Congratulations to all of you who got accepted into the accelerated program!!! Unfortunately, I'm still waiting and dying to know - either way. For those of you who got into the Accelerated BSN program - please let the rest of us know your previous Bachelor's GPA, Science GPA and TEAS Score (Percentile Rank - National score). This will help the rest of us figure out how we rank. Thanks and congrats again!
Bachelor's GPA 3.64
Science GPA 3.88 ( A's except for a 3 credit algebra, which was a B+)
TEAS National percentile rank -98% (and for program rank it went up 1%)
But we were told at orientation, that the undergrad GPA just had to be over a 3.0 and then the ranking was science GPA and the TEAS. Many others on here have 4.0 pre-reqs and 99% on the national percentile! Very impressive!!

I don't think it will change the cost much as tuition is charged by credit hour and all the change will be doing is spreading out the credit hours over a longer period of time.
