FAU BSN 2013-Traditional or Accelerated

Anyone out there that is applying to start the FAU Nursing program in May 2013? I have submitted my application for the accelerated program. It is the only program I am applying for so I am really hoping to receive an acceptance letter! I realize it will be quite some time until we know either way and thought we could get some conversation going among applicants.

You guys are incredible that scored in the 98th and 99th percentile! I remember when I logged onto this thread a few months ago, I saw that you guys posted those scores and my mouth dropped lol I thought I was solid with a 93 until then :p I love this thread because no one I know understands how important this is to me, so it's nice to know we all understand each other & how bad we all want this :) we worked hard to get here!

This is great news! Thank you so much for that news! That gives the rest of us some kind of hope. Hopefully they let us know by the end of the week regardless of whether we get in or not. Since this no news is killing me!

And you know what? If FAU doesn't work out...there are plenty of other paths to achieve the same goal :)

I just got an email ... So I'd guess that means more are coming today. I was declined :( they are including a notation of what your weak area was in the email, for example low TEAS so you know what you can work on to improve your standing. Unfortunately mine said there were no specific factors and I should continue to pursue nursing. Not so helpful. Because I know people are going to wonder I had a 3.85 sciences and a 99th national TEAS. Best of luck everyone!

Wow! Unbelievable! I would think with those scores you would have been accepted! This must have been a REALLY competitive pool of applicants. I am sorry you did not get accepted :( Don't give up!

So sorry nja06 ... This no specific reason thing is terrible... How are you supposed to improve nothing specific? And there's a spelling error in the denial letter and that just annoys me ... Lol.

Mrslucky, I'm sorry too, it is terrible; I wish I knew where to start because I thought I was a strong applicant, best of luck in your journey forward. I'm trying to be optimistic ;) we will make it someday. Are you applying anywhere else?

I also applied to Nova and Barry (but its so far!). I called Palm Beach State to inquire about the 2+2... And they recommended I look at FAU ... Lol. How about you?

I had a (3.94) Science GPA. TEAS Percentile Rank National (98), Tease Program (99). I'm an FAU pre-nursing student... and I still did NOT get in. Is anyone else in the same boat? Are you applying to other colleges, like UM or Barry University? Is it easier to get into their Accelerated BSN programs? I hope so!! Good luck everyone and continue to pursue your dreams!
