Applications are open for FAU's January 2015 enrollment date! With just over 4 months until the deadline and 8 months to the start of the program, now seemed like as good a time as any to start a forum to ask questions, relay information, and support possible future classmates.
To start off, I was wondering if any one knew if they normally offer a ABSN program that begins in the Spring. I had only heard of admittance to the Summer semester at the beginning of May.
Best of luck to everyone!
Hey Guys,
For some reason I had no idea we needed to turn in this form http://nursing.fau.edu/uploads/docs/864/VECHS%20form%202012.pdf to get our fingerprints approved. Figured I would tell everyone so we don't miss anything!
I emailed Colleen today asking why my fingerprints had not been approved since I had done it so long ago (11/12) I wanted to make sure everything was in order and she said that she had received my fingerprints but not this form and sent that as an attachment. In her email it says it must be mailed or hand delivered not scanned or faxed! So I started to look on FAU nursing website and found this page Florida Atlantic University - Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing - Current Students with all forms that should be completed. And now Im freaking out a little bit because I did not upload these exact forms for my health records since I have copies of my immunizations in my files I scanned and uploaded those and they were approved. Ugh I feel like they are so vague in instructions!
Maggiemae- wow thanks for the tip. I had no idea... It wasn't mentioned anywhere else. However, I think if other documents we submitted were approved/accepted, then they are ok. Colleen is the one reviewing everything on CP so if it's already accepted I think we can be assured it's ok and not worry about it. That other form though... Whoops. Guess I'm taking a trip to FAU tomorrow!
Just received an email from Colleen regarding the VECHS form. Yup, going to FAU tomorrow :)
Serendipity- the cards are at the front desk in the CoN building. Not sure what room number that is but it's the room to the right after you walk through the main entrance.
About 1 month left of vacation/freedom before nursing school! I'm excited!

Hi everyone, aside from completing the background check and everything else on certified profile is there anything else we need to do? Like do we need to respond to the email saying we want to accept the spot? Or just by doing the background check?
