Applications are open for FAU's January 2015 enrollment date! With just over 4 months until the deadline and 8 months to the start of the program, now seemed like as good a time as any to start a forum to ask questions, relay information, and support possible future classmates.
To start off, I was wondering if any one knew if they normally offer a ABSN program that begins in the Spring. I had only heard of admittance to the Summer semester at the beginning of May.
Thatguy777... Did anyone tell you how to fill out the motorized student oath and affirmation in the spot that says "state of Florida county of "? I emailed Coleen with no response a few weeks ago. It was just rejected on CP because I left that blank due to not being in Florida.... They said to call the program and ask how it should be filled out. There was o my one form given by fau apparently.
I don't recall any email from the CoN saying that this to-do list is due by Dec. 3. They only said the fingerprints and background check must be completed by then. Did we create this deadline? Or has someone been told it's all due on Dec. 3?
My fingerprints still haven't turned green under the last tab 'eligible for placement'. Certified profile told me not to worry and that the administrator will prob approve everyone all at once closer to the deadline.
If you are going to get blood work for chicken pox you can get quantiferon for tb at the same time! I went to lab and its all once process. Only one test for tb and you're done!
Is anyone's fingerprints taking forever to show up? I got mine done of the 12th and it still says incomplete

I had actually asked coleen about this when I went into FAU. She says that it needs to be filled out a year from when we did background check so not until next october. I do not know why it says overdue in our to do list.
And the school emailed us a 12/3 deadline to get background check in by and then we will be officially accepted. it was in one of the emails we received. I am assuming that the to do list is apart of the whole background check since it is under the same website? not 100% sure
@Byesuah Sorry for the late reply. I just got that notarized and the person that did it crossed out Florida and put Texas down and also wrote down the county I was in.
I just sent off for mine on Tuesday.... Its definitely not going to be in on time. I've spent about $900 applying to FAU. And I'm going to go there. I'm emailing them with daily updates.
@thatguy777 no worries. When did you order the fingerprints? I was only able to do it Tuesday evening. Who knows if they were sent on Wednesday. Needless to say it definitely won't be here in time.
Literally everything besides fingerprints ts in my certified profile will be complete on the due date.
@byesuah I ordered it Monday and I think was confirmed Tuesday. So hopefully by Friday or Saturday I can get the package and send it in asap. It's so stressful over some fingerprints. -_-
@sgray9109 I think it is the certified background website. I'm sure we will find out for sure when we need it. I believe the form that says that isn't due until a year from now.
