I haven't seen a thread directed at applicants for this application cycle, so I figured I'd start one! Just one month left until applications open. Who's ready? :) I figure we can meet here to discuss any questions or issues with applications, provide support and feedback to fellow applicants, as well as introduce ourselves as potential future classmates! Communication is, after all, critical for all nurses.
I actually have a question to start us off. The pre-requisites listed for the program mention "College Algebra or equivalent" for science GPA calculations. In my case, I took a few more advanced mathematics courses for my degree, and I have a better grade in Calculus than I do in College Algebra. I can only chalk it up to it being my first semester in college. Does anyone know if they will count my Calc grade instead? It means the difference between a 3.8 and 3.9 for my science GPA.
Definitely glad the process is now over on our end... although the waiting game will be torturous at least there is nothing left we need to do... as Dr. D. told our interview group... we are all well achieved individuals and should be proud no matter what the outcome is... of course... I hope its a positive one for us all!
I just wanted to pop in and say how impressed I was by all of the people that I met today. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to meet and speak with those at the 9:15 interview, especially those in group 1 with me. We were lucky in that we all were given ample opportunity to answer, and no one person was always first or always last.
I truly wish everyone here success in all of their future endeavors, whether or not that includes FAU. You are all amazing individuals, and will make exceptional nurses. I hope to see you all in April for orientation!
I was in group 4 at the 10:15 ... how about you?
I was actually part of the traditional program and was also in group four but I think they change interviewers in the afternoon because I don't think I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. D in my group interview but everyone who was there faculty and perspective students included were all great! Couldn't have asked for a better interview session. . . Now the waiting begins I wonder what is worse waiting for an interview email or an acceptance email?!?!?!? Good luck everyone!!

I would say just be yourself during the interview. I know MzJazBerri and I were in the same interview group, but I feel she would agree with me that it is important to be yourself. Also, the people are really nice and the setting is very comfortable. I just wish it was a little longer
