FAU 2014 ABSN applicants

I haven't seen a thread directed at applicants for this application cycle, so I figured I'd start one! Just one month left until applications open. Who's ready? :) I figure we can meet here to discuss any questions or issues with applications, provide support and feedback to fellow applicants, as well as introduce ourselves as potential future classmates! Communication is, after all, critical for all nurses.

I actually have a question to start us off. The pre-requisites listed for the program mention "College Algebra or equivalent" for science GPA calculations. In my case, I took a few more advanced mathematics courses for my degree, and I have a better grade in Calculus than I do in College Algebra. I can only chalk it up to it being my first semester in college. Does anyone know if they will count my Calc grade instead? It means the difference between a 3.8 and 3.9 for my science GPA.

Thank you Dr. Dormire for your kind words. The accepance emails come from the admission office regarding FAU general admission, and, as I was registered for the wrong term 3 times, I have received 3 admission emails :) ;my heart has been chalenged lately :) I am a little worried for the fact that I could not add on the nursingcas website the Sociology course I am currently working on and that I will finish by the end of April. I will have all the pre-requisites requirement by the beginning of the Summer term. I sent an email to Mrs. Curran about it and she said she is informed. Do I need to contact somebody else in particular at FAU to let them know about this situation or was this course added to my profile? I wouln't like to miss the oportunity for such a minor incident. Once again thank you for your help and for giving us hope during the toughest times that are the "waiting times".

I just received another email from Fau For some virtual recruiting thing.....oh boy did it hurt lmao wow. I keep receiving these emails from them Smh....I just want an interview email :/...there teasing me

Haha omg I couldn't handle that! When I get any email, that little vibration gives me a mini heart attack! I can't imagine it saying "FAU" and not be from nursing! We're in the together guys... We understand each other's pain right nowwww lol

I was totally calm ... This is my second time through (I didn't make the cut last year) so I think experience helped me hold off on freaking out... but I am definitely starting to feel the stress now! Good luck everyone! Think positive thoughts :)

Did you even get an interview last year or just a denial letter?
