Fastest Results Ever!

I'm about 99% sure I got the fastest results/license of anyone that has ever taken the NCLEX! Here's my story:

I was scheduled to take the NCLEX-RN this morning at 8:00 a.m. and I arrived about 7:25 a.m. (as directed by the instructions) to be on the safe side. They were already checking people in so I actually got started about 7:40 a.m. I sat down, said a prayer and tested away. I definitely felt like some of the questions came out of left field but some of them I felt ridiculously confident on. I had at LEAST 20 select all that apply (which are NOT my strength) and my test shut off at 75. I felt good and ready to puke all at the same time. I was done by 8:35 a.m. I was SHOCKED. I was so worried I had gone too fast and just bombed it.

I got my things gathered and walked back to my hotel. As soon as I sat down I started texting all of my friends to get the word out that I was done and waiting. A little before 9:00 a.m. one of my friends texted me back with a screen shot of my license number - it was already posted on the state website!!!

I had my license number less than 30 minutes after having completed the NCLEX. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I thought I was going to jump out of my skin, I was that excited. Please know that if you're ready and prepared you can be in and out and down and even get a quick result! Good luck to everyone getting ready for yours!

Congrats and welcome to the most exciting profession on earth!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I just took the NCLEX-RN a few hours ago and had pretty much the same experience as you... except I'm sure I'll be waiting for my results/license number for a few days. WELL DONE! How exciting to already have your license number!

Holy moly, I am jealous. I ended up finding a job in another state and I am still waiting on my license number. I took my NCLEX last Tuesday, 75 questions, also arrived early and finished in about half an hour, so I'm wondering what the holdup is. It's making me really anxious that I'm not going to be able to get my license transferred in time to start working.

Thank you CT Pixie! I was shocked to see my license # hit so fast but was ridiculously excited. I didn't even receive the confirmation email from the state about it until late in the afternoon. I'm sure you will get yours soon!

Congratulations on passing NCLEX-RN. I wrote the exam yesterday too, but my test was booked for 2:00 PM. I know I should have booked for an earlier time, because I found myself to be sleepy during the day time d/t lack of sleep :(. I wrote from Toronto, because I am a Registered Nurse here in Toronto, Canada. I am moving to Texas soon, because my hubby lives there. I felt that the exam was extremely difficult. It made me think on a very different level. Some questions, like you said, I was very confident on. However, some made me think "what on Earth would have made me study for this detail of the topic?" I mean, I studied for almost all the common topics, but they tested me on a microscopic cellular level. I memorized almost all the meds with side effects. I used Saunders, Lippincott, Kaplan and even took 8 week course on NCSBN; so you can imagine how much I might have studied for it.

I actually got to the testing centre early (at 12:45 pm). They let me in and I began the exam around that time. I got all 265 questions and I was speechless after writing it. I had more than an hour left on my last question. I didn't know whether to cry or what. I got home and thought of doing the pearson vue trick and it gave me a good pop-up. So looks like I passed. However, my name is not on TXBON, so I guess I will have to wait. I should have my name on it by Thursday. But I am pretty confident that pearson vue trick would be accurate.

Again, Congrats to you and I have my fingers crossed for me :).

Thank you, grad.rye.2012! I honestly haven't talked to anyone that's walked out of the NCLEX thinking they aced it. I'm sorry you had such a hard time (and ended up with all 265!) but if you got the good pop-up then I'd say you did something right! Congrats to you and I hope you see your name up there soon!

I just have to add, apparently I got super lucky or something with the timing. So far, a classmate that also took it yesterday didn't get her results until today and of the 4 people that took it today, none of them have yet to receive their results. I still can't believe I got mine so fast and that it's DONE! :)
