Farmingdale State College Spring 2022 Nursing Program

Hi guys, I am currently a student at Farmingdale under the STS major. I plan on applying for the Advanced Standing Nursing Program in Spring 2021. I have not seen a thread for Spring 2021 so thought I would make one. Everyone can write their stats, TEAS scores, GPA, questions, and any concerns about the program on here. Hopefully this helps everyone out!

Farmingdale is awesome and I will probably see you there! Last year I applied to a ton of the ABSN programs and some others (NYU, stony Brook, Columbia direct entry masters), and got into them all, but the price tags in the end were just too much for me. I didn’t want the debt and already have a career, so wanted to find a program I can work during. I am so happy to get into these more affordable programs. They are super competitive and we should all be proud of ourselves! Edited to add: Frankly, anybody who got through the prerequisites to apply to nursing schools should be so proud of their hard work.

I am so happy to get in as well. I have a teenager who I have to plan for college in a few years and I couldn't afford a private school. I am thinking of starting a whattsapp group or facebook page for those of us starting in the Spring to communicate. It might take me a bit though, I'm not very tech savvy.

I’d be interested in that. Or even a facebook group if people still do that. Congrats on your acceptance ?

I will be working during the program. May take it a little easy during the first semester as I’m adjusting. But I do make my own work schedule so it’s a little easier for me to manage.
