I could not agree more with this assessment. There were very, very few questions that got at the key concepts from the readings. Nearly every question asked about some marginal or trivial aspect of the topic. If the goal is educate students about important concepts in family nursing, the course is failing miserably. It's clear that this situation is not new, so I doubt very much that the professor cares about - or even reads - the student reviews of the course. I don't plan to spend any energy on writing one.
And speaking of energy, the midterm pointed out that studying is worthless. No matter how much time you put in reviewing things, you are going to be reduced to guessing, so why bother?

This really is frustrating that nothing appears to have changed since I have taken the course in the beginning of the year. So many people complained about the tests then and how the questions had little to do with anything studied during the weeks. It was merely asking for random statistics and facts from somewhere in the chapters. You are right, it seems as if nobody reads the reviews anyway. I have stopped doing them for the last quarter.

I almost got into big trouble, i didn't realize that every week there is going to be additional information about the family. I just assumed that part was same as last week, i clicked on it just to refresh my memory about the family and was very surprised to see an addition 4 pages of info. I am cutting it close this week, hoping to get done by tomorrow.

I did the same darn thing! Crazy class, ain't it!?

I guessed on almost all the questions on the quiz... great! To bad this dumb case study didn't cover anything on that quiz. If it did I would could of scored a 100 by repeative answers!

Amen to that one!

Uh, quit smoking, buy a new vehicle after you get food stamps and medicaid...oh, and get that back child support!

My section announcement said Thursday ....duh, can't even read anymore!! Tuesday - and I am just sooooo excited to see my grade!!

My announcement initially said Tues but now there's another msg that says Dr _____ will review the midterms later in the week. At least the other stuff was graded. Heaven forbid you should make a tiny "&" error...cost me 2.5 pts. How stupid is that??? This APA crap is gonna be the death of me. I can't wait to be done.

It is very annoying, i got dinged also. I certainly cant afford to loose any points, since i know the quiz will be a grade dropper.

Holy Sh** - got a 56% on midterm. Dropped my grade to an 89 overall.
