Hello All,

Has anyone applied for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program for 2014? I am anxious and excited!

Specializes in Ortho.

Duquesne, Penn State, Simmons. My state of residence(PA) isn't eligible for Southern Indiana, of course they didn't tell me after I applied, they waited until the reviewal process.

I hope we get in. We need to stay in touch. I got an email from University of Southern Indiana stating my application is been prepared to be reviewed by the Assistant Dean of Nursing and the Program Chair.

Sorry to hear that AdamRn79.

Lisalis-

The ISU program has over 200 applicants so far. They only take 40/semester. I can only imagine that USI had more because they take 40/year.

Well am hoping we get into one of those programs, otherwise we will have to apply elsewhere.

Hello All,

I have a question. I submitted my online application and forgot to waive my rights to review my reference. I didn't realized that this was an option until I submitted another reference. However, on that reference I waived my rights to view it. Will this affect my application in a negative way? Please Advice.

I am not sure how this will reflect your application negatively. They mainly look at GPA, resume, professional statement and recommendations. What was your GPA and nursing background?

My GPA is 3.8 or 3.9, I cant find my transcript right now to be exact. I have worked as an RN since 2008. Starting out as a floor nurse and has been a supervisor of a rehab facility for the last three years.

You should have no problem getting into either of those programs.

By the grace of God but the wait is painful.

HAHA. I completely agree.

Good for you!! I also looked into Simmons but found the tuition to be expensive. I am having a problem finding an online FNP program that is licensed to provide the program online. New York is to strict.
