  1. Write down the names of family and friends with whom you are likely to spend significant time this holiday season.
  2. Put a star by the names of those people with whom you have a relatively simple, uncomplicated, loving relationship.
  3. Put an "X" by those people who can make you feel uncomfortable (tense, unhappy, frustrated, angry, frightened, guilty, inferior, resentful, embarrassed, sad, worried, etc.).
  4. Ideally, would you like to see more, fewer or about the same number of people this holiday season as you did last holiday season?

COVID has changed the holidays for everyone, but for me it outright cancelled the holidays. I do not go anywhere and don't invite anyone. I have an excuse! Less gift buying, less spending, less bad food eating. Win-win-win.

While some strive to modify holidays this year, (and more power to them!), I choose to make it simple and get some extra sleep.
