Fall 2016 Wake Tech Applicants

Hey Everyone,

I'm not new to this site, just new to actually joining and posting my own story since I myself am finally able to began the application process of applying to Wake Tech next Fall. Anyone else out there applying?

Congrats MrsBarron07!! Are you doing the BSN program or the ABSN? Did either require letters of recommendation or did you just have to do an essay?

The BSN program. UNC does not accept letters of recommendation only essays[emoji4]

They send letters out about 3 months after you submit your application. Good luck to you in the future and I will definitely check back on here from time to time![emoji4]

Hey WSMOM, CNA, did you plan on retaking your TEAS exam?

One last question, was all of your prereqs done before hand? And what was your TEAS points?

My prereqs were all done. If you don't complete all of them with UNC it's easier for them to weed you out because they don't accept a lot of second degree students. Didn't do too hot on the TEAS but had a point total of 173 after everything. UNC doesn't accept the TEAS. I only did it for wake tech.

Hey. Im on the fence on retaking my TEAS just because my schedule will be so packed even during the summer. I think I will have enough points by July. After summer class, Im done with all my prereqs. So far, all my pre reqs were A's including my A&P II and a B in ENG 112 this sem (crossing fingers since this could change). I guess I'll wait and see this May. If I get an A in A&PII, I'll skip TEAS, if not A, then I'll retake this June.

What did you get on your TEAS? If it's not too low, I wouldn't even worry about retaking it. With the new points system it's only going to give you so many extra points depending on where you're at now.

I got a 70. Doesn't it suck? Only 1 more point to get at least 6 points. I deserve this though because I didn't really prepare myself for the TEAS. I thought 2 weeks is enough but, what do you know, those two weeks were the same weeks for my A&P exam and ENG paper. I have never crammed so much in my life. The good thing is, that Im done. I thought I did so bad that I'll get a score that isn't acceptable for the program. I don't even know what the minimum score should be.
