Fall 2016 Wake Tech Applicants

Published

Hey Everyone,

I'm not new to this site, just new to actually joining and posting my own story since I myself am finally able to began the application process of applying to Wake Tech next Fall. Anyone else out there applying?

Check out the tail end of the thread titled "Wake Tech ADN Fall 2015". I would love to know points for spring 2017, but with the application deadline so far out I haven't had much luck since most people are still finishing things up. I figured I could get more of an idea of where I stand by knowing the points for fall 2016, since spring points tend to be a little lower than the fall threshold.

Hey everyone! I have submitted my application today. I know that my points are still waaay below (I have 3 classes that will not be counted since I'm taking it right now: A&P2, Micro and Eng 112), but decided to apply because my CNA license is about to expire this November. Im taking my chances and hoping that I'll at least become an alternate and get in if some people decide to choose the program from another school. If not, I will apply this July and should have enough points by then. Good luck to everyone and hopefully those that applied for this fall:up: will hear from the program early March!

Good luck!! I hope everyone that has applied for Fall gets in! I'm hoping we find out early March, but from what it looks like in the past it will be late March! If anyone hears anything about what points they're accepting for fall please let us know!! Those numbers should start coming out in some information sessions and if you talk to an advisor soon! It seems like they have a good idea by end of February, beginning of March what the accepted range of points look like!

Good luck to you all! Fingers crossed that you both will get in! WSMom, CNA do you mind sharing his many points have? Of course, if you would not like to, that is okay!

I got an email today from Mrs. Watkins and she said they she was hoping to send out the status letters by the end of March. I don't know about points though because I didn't ask. I need someone who's braver than me to ask lol...is it stupid I'm nervous to ask her about how many points she thinks will get you in?! I just can't wait to hear something. Praying it's good!!

Hi everyone, CN_2bRN919, oh gosh. My TEAS score was bad. I studied for a week, I'm actually just thankful I didn't fail. Anyway, I did not get an email from Mrs. Watkins, so I take that as a sign that I am not in. I guess I'll just retake my TEAS to get a better score and finish my prereqs this summer. APeregoy, I have a feeling you are IN. So excited for you and for all who are getting in this fall! You all studied hard to get to this point and you're almost there:up:

I'm sure you're not out. I only got an email from her because she was letting me know that she would be using my SOC210 in place of nutrition since I hadn't taken that, and then she mentioned that she would send out application status letters at the end of March. I am sure if you email her she will get back to you! I hope I get in, I'm scared I'm going to be wait listed. I'm ready to hear about points!

You're right. I should still get an email even if I'm an alternate #50. Lol. í ½í¸… I'm not being pessimistic. It's just the reality of what I'll get from my points. I was hoping I'll get additional 6 points from TEAS to at least have a chance of being a top 10 alternate, but I didn't get extra points. Anyway, I've been trying to compute a base score that would make sense with the new TEAS point system rule, and I think 155 should be it. But who knows right? It depends on how many applicants they have this fall too. I have to look for a job as a CNA this summer so as to renew my license. Hope thats plausible since I'm taking Microbiology this summer. Oh and my CPR will expire this July.í ½í¸¬

WSMom,CNA I am rooting for you! Praying that you get in and if not, I hope that you apply again in July. You never know! I did here that 155 was what they were thinking might be the minimum for the fall. It's hard to get an idea with this new system for the TEAS.

They aren't going to email you, they will send a letter in the mail at the end of March to let you know if you were accepted, not accepted, or wait listed. Look for a per diem NA job. They always have them at UNC. I just renewed my BLS CPR today. You may be able to email Mrs. Watkins to find out how many points you have...

Is anyone who is applying for the Spring planning on going to the information session on the 16th? If so, please let us know if they say anything about the fall admissions (like how many applied and what they believe the accepted scores will be) :)

I am nursing all the way. I'm hoping my points are good enough for Wake...I would love to know more peoples points so I could see about where I am, but at least I only have to wait a few more months to find out. If I don't get into Wake, the other school will tell me in May...worse case scenario, I find out I don't get in to either and I will apply for Spring. Fingers crossed we both get in!!

With the TEAS my points are 173. I was told that 155 should be the beginning of acceptance for the fall.

I would say you have nothing to worry about then, with 173! I only have 156, so I am right on the line of maybe getting accepted or being wait listed. I will be crushed if I am wait listed and I don't get in :( the end of March seems so far away. I hope the acceptance is 155, because my 156 would be in!
